Great kit, but one significant oversight
This is an awesome light kit. Really makes the model come alive. I modified the setup to accommodate a different angle for display, and I used a different lightsaber for a brighter blue effect. The engines look awesome, the cockpit lights (especially the red/blue color changing LED) is great, and the laser cannon effects are fun and not over-the-top or excessive.
But, these are all black wires on a white model. That's the significant oversight. In the dark, you can't tell, but during the day or under even moderate light, those wires stand out on the laser cannons and on parts of the wings, where the wings attach to the body, and on the engines because there is nowhere to hide them. It would've been much better to use white or grey wires instead, and thinner wires like some competitors offer.
That said, it's the best light kit you can get for this X-Wing model, the most screen-accurate. I really enjoy it and overall, the effect is fantastic - but consider the wiring color if you want it to be less obvious.
