29 individual lights have been carefully designed to capture the details of the ominous fortress. Some of our favourite features are the 8 lights we've placed around the base, to bring the lava to life, and a whopping set of 11 flickering lights designed emulate the candles and torches that placed around the tower.
But the greatest feature of them all? The Eye of Sauron, which we've added 4 large flickering orange Astro Lights to. No single person (or mini-figure) will escape its piercing gaze.
With additional lights placed in and around the set which cast a menacing glow across the entire structure, this is the one light kit to rule them all!

Perfect light kit. I just can't say more. Wires in Saurons Throne Room are a bit of a mess, but I see it mainly from the front, which is a masterpiece. Flames, lava... and the Eye! I feel like it's watching me all the time.
Easy 10/10.
This is our second build with LMB. And we will definitely be doing more! The "Light as you build" instructions/option is great! Wires almost completely disappear. Photos show some of the construction, some of the wiring, and highlights of the finished build! Enjoy!

It was my first time using the Light My Bricks kit so I was a bit nervous. After reading instructions I noticed I was missing one light. Contacted customer support and in just a few days I received the replacement light. Once I had all bricks and lights ready to go I began building. This LEGO set requires some experience and adding the kit made it a bit challenging but once you finished section one the rest were much easier to complete. Wonderful experience!

If you are on the fence about getting this light kit I say do it. It may be expensive but it is worth every penny. You can immediately tell the reason why it costs what it does. The amount of time and thought that went into developing this kit and being able to light while you build its amazing. The thought that went into the building even goes down to things like with the light strips ALF-030 and ALY-030 look very similar but the way you remove the sticker holding the wires together is different for each one. Letting you know if you grabbed the wrong wire by how it opens.
I very much enjoyed building with this light kit, and only really got annoyed at the Eye of Sauron. Just with the amount of wires in that area it gets a bit tedious and frustrating.
My only complaints are very small nit picky things.
- With the digital instructions there are times when steps are mislabeled. They will say 1,1,1,1 instead of 1,2,3,4. Assuming that's just an auto numbering thing going wonky on them.
- Color for pieces is a bit weird. Sometimes its hard to tell what color piece you are supposed to be using when there are multiple shades of the same color. Especially with the transparent pieces
- With the instructions it would be nice if there were words describing what needs to be done. There are a couple of times with the pictures its hard to tell whats being done, or how often you need to do something. For example with the Eye of Sauron, you are to wrap the the wires around the rod…

This is typical Lego set that begs to be upgraded with a light kit. Even Lego themselves understood this by providing a light-brick for the eye at the top of the tower. But this tower does not abide a mere single light. The LMB 2.0 light kit is the absolute must-have to bring this enormous Lego structure to life. With a well-lit and glowing eye, glowing flames and many detailed lighting effect, the 2.0 system really comes to shine here, virtually showing none of the cables when looking at the tower. The ingenious magnetic connection system allows you to disconnect portions of the tower without having to disconnect any wires. A must-have for all Lego LOTR fans out there!
